Can anyone help me determine if my rear suspension shock is toast or not? I have an 08 RTX and after last years riding I changed up the hi-fax and greased the suspension including the rear attach point for the suspension. After doing so, I noticed that after compressing the rear suspension with my body weight with the tow bar. I noticed greatly improved suspension action. I also noticed compression time down equalled time up! Meaning, I did not notice any slow down on travel on the way up. To me it feels like a trampoline or pogo stick with no controlled or slowed rate of up travel.
Can anyone advise or speak on this behalf? Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just me. The sled might have a total of 2k, seems early to be replacing shock parts! Should I replace or is there someone who can rebuild shock?
Thanks!

Sounds like your shock is blown. Adjust the clickers to the max compression and rebound and see if it changes anything. If not, it is blown. You should see & feel oil on the shaft and body. Do not run the sled as you will cause more damage to the shock and ruin it plus you can damage your rear scissor linkage.

Just have both shocks rebuilt and re-valved as the factory valving is way off. Have Hygear, Pioneer, Carver or DLS rebuild and re-valve them. Ship both shocks and re-valve. You will notice a whole new sled when you ride it!
