Hey guys first time replacing my hyfax on my sled and I am wondering.
1.) How much should slides cost?
2.) Is one brand better than the other?
3.) Are all yamaha slides the same or do I need to find a pair specific to the nytro?
4.) Any recommendations where to get them?
5.) any questions I missed and should be asking?

OEM Yammi ones are about $15 a piece and you can of course get them from your dealer or you can aftermarket ones from places like Dennis Kirk, Shadetree, etc.
Unless you get a set of Hyperfax (much more money but a much higher melting point) the OEM's work just fine depending upon snow conditions and track lug height.
Also - using the search link at the top of the page will tield you all kinds of information regarding slide wear points, wheel kits as well as removal/installation procedures.

anybody happen to know the oem part number for the slides? I just tried using the parts catolog from yamaha-motor.com and it is down.

Should be the SMA-8GL92-00-HP for the 121" Nytro

thanks for the help. picked up a set of garland slides from the dealer today. i got 2100 miles out of the orginal set. We will see how these last.
