I was going to put a set of Curve Skis on my 08 FX NYTRO RTX, but now I am wondering if I should go with the new Yamaha Ski. Has anyone tried the new skis? I lean towards a more aggressive rider. 70/30 trails to ditches. Any Thoughts?

My buddy just got back from a 700 mile ride in Quebec...he rode a Nytro XTX that had them on it ( and he's ridden my RTX with C&As ) he was very impressed with the sled...he said ZERO darting and it went where you pointed it..even heard they are on back order. I may go that route next season.

Sounds about right. I just got back from 500 miles in Quebec. Awesome trip...even with all the darting.

i just put a set of tunners on my 11 fx nytro. no snow so it will be next season to try them. i only waited a week to get them so i doubt that they are really on "backorder". it was 66 here today and we played golf.

If you're riding ditches, I'd opt for a ski which is wider than the Tuners. Not sure how wide the Curves are, but I think the reviews are pretty solid that they do well in deep snow.

How much are the tuner skis going for? And i'm guessing carbides are extra too? What is the grand total for the full set up, thinking about getting a set this summer for next year.

Check out Yamaha's website in the accessories section.

I have more info here than yamaha does on the skis.
they are 250 retail with carbides and they work same as the Kimpex Arrows they are designed from. They are less money and 1/2in wider (6in) than the current stock ski or the Arrows. As I remember the curves I had were 7in wide at the two widest points, cant remember what the middle where it narrowed up.

Tuner skis

Just put a quick 1000 km on mine and like them
I got out of slush and deep ditch when riding buddies buried!
They bite well and darting reduced
Total cost was:
Skis $129
2 inch carbide $54 *2
4 inch carbide $59 *2

Total $355 plus taxes

Well worth it
I got about 10% discount for being good customer!

Thanks for the figure. How do you normally ride? Im spectacle on if these skis will push in the corners if pushed hard, had a bad experience with snow studs double downs. Dont want to blow the cash if they do. I like to ride on the hard side and like the bit of a single runner but don't want the pushing.

My tuner skis have been on backorder for 3 months. I'll probably get them in July if I'm lucky. LOL!!! I paid $265 otd with everything included. Dealer didn't ask me what configuration i wanted for carbides. I'm hoping that can be completed after they come in.

Tuner ski

I rides hard
Mix of fast tight trails and wide open river and lakes
Hugging ditches
350km days
Skis way better than stock by a mile

I can see that guys from candada will be coming to the states to save some money, over 100 more including a 10% discount????? Why does yamaha screw over the canadian dealers so bad, along with the customers?
