After reading about the subframe issues I went to the garage to look at my 08 RTX, left ski looks to be pushed back 1.5" and the left spindle is at a way steeper angle than the right. I have not hit anything that I've noticed. But the sled is handling just fine. Whats the deal with the warrenty, is it covered or will it be a battle? Is it fine to keep riding? Also is anyone haveing fuse problems? I've blown the ignition fuse once and the fuel pump fuse twice and once in a while the speedo will flash 43 and 46, anyone know what that means? Any advice or opinions on either issue?

I just got my subframe replaced, no fight at all. They will look for damage to the a arms and obvious damage to subframe, if there is none they may replace the subframe. Mine looked like it was not welded right, no movement just not welded right,as if the jig was off.
There is a bull. out for a extra clamp on the wiring harness, maybe your rubbed through already?............

The subframe is not a warranty item. The dealer service code indicates that subframes that are out of allignment on sleds with no apparent impact damage, MAY be replaced by the dealer as a customer satisfaction issue. The service code will not continue indefinately. Once Yamaha believes that it has addressed the majority of the subframe problems, that will be the end of it.
Get to your dealer ASAP and let them work through the factory rep to address your sled - each case is handled on its own. There is no blanket warranty policy in place for this.
The above is more or less what i was told by my dealer, just before they replaced my subframe at no charge. When I picked up the sled, I noticed 3 other 08 Nytro subframes in a pile.

Correct. You need to take your sled to your dealer.Traildale said:Get to your dealer ASAP and let them work through the factory rep to address your sled - each case is handled on its own. There is no blanket warranty policy in place for this.

Thanks for the info guys. I called and my dealer told me my warrenty expired on the 13th of dec. He kind of gave me the run around saying Yamaha wont cover the sub frame under warrenty, without even looking at it. The two other times my sled was throwing codes he just cleared them and told me it should be fine. Now I dont know what to do because its also throwing code 12. I have had 5 Yamaha sleds and he has always been really good to deal with but now he is dicking me around. Im gonna call a few other dealers in s. Wisconsin to see if they will work with me. Any other suggestions?

Should have my sled back next week. Took it to Rock River Powersports and they have been more than helpfull. The electrical issues are fixed. New main wiring harness and starter relay. Also getting new lower ball joints and a new subframe, all covered by Yamaha.
