I just sold my 08 apex ltx and bought a leftover 09 fx nytro. how close are these 2 sleds in a race? just wondering how the nytro stacks up to the apex.

Corner to corner I'd have to say pretty well equal, for handling in twisties the FX Nytro will handle somewhat better, but a well set-up APEX is hard to beat, I can give you your money's worht a good day LOL...the APEX is a high speed lake runner! and cruiser.

a good running tweaked nytro might be able to see the tail light at the century mark...

Sj is correct on that one.. A good running Nytro will run with an Apex/Attack to a 100mph+. The very top end is where it will lose.. It would not take much...

Stock for stock that triple will not hang with the Four. Nice trails and the four wins there too. It stays flatter in the turns and out accellerates it in the straights big time. Not until it gets rough will nytro shine. Seen it with my owns eyes last February.....

Screw the heavy bike engine.... Unless they can seriously lighten up the 4 banger, I am no longer a fan and that includes the chassis. 579lbs on an Apex is just to heavy.

If the race contains a thing called big bumps and is...well, let us say fifteen minutes or longer...the Apex rider will be something like half way behind and then likely not survive his severe exhaustion...
