When I first hit the throttle, on my new XTX, there is a slight hesitation. It is almost like a burp, for a split second, before the engine revs up. When I rode the prototype last fall it did the same thing. Is this normal? I also have an 04 RX1 which does not do it, so I'm wondering if its the EFI or something else.

Mine did that for the first couple hundred miles.. break it in hard and that will go away.

Mine started doing two things last week that it never did before. Sled has over 5000 kms.
1.) Hesitation/stumble/misfire when whacking the throttle - replaced plugs, checked coils ( within spec.), and adjusted thumb throttle freeplay. Once I tightened the thumb throttle - problem seems to be gone - but I've only got about 20 mins on it since I adjusted it.
2.) misfire while cruising at steady 6000 rpms. Not too sure on this one - I'm thinking maybe the throttle position sensor. This one is really annoying cause you can hear it out the exhaust. None of the above cleared this problem up.
I may try adjusting the CO levels - maybe a bit too lean? Not sure if the CO levels carry all the way through the RPM range to top end, or if it's strictly adding fuel at the bottom end.
Not meaning to hyjack but anyone have any other suggestions?

It was the throttle free play adjustment. It had about 3/8" of play I adjusted it to spec and now its gone. Thanx guys.

How do you adjust the CO levels on the Nytro? I know how to do them on my Apex
Thanks

Should be the same as your apex. I'm gonna try it tomorrow.

Is it a dead miss or more like you just hear it popping out the exhaust? You should have a look at the exhaust donuts with that KM reading......
