Who has accurate measurements for the stock skid mounts on the new Nytro XTX with the 144 skid. I assume that these measurements will be relative to the center of the axle with 8-tooth drivers.
I am putting it in a 2003 Viper Mtn chassis, so any input on ride height might be helpful also. I will likely create a triangle template (Driveshaft - Front - Rear) and rotate it on the driveshaft until the track will be flat on the ground. This will determine how high or low my mount locations will be.
I am expecting to have to make brackets at least for the rear.
Anybody got any input?

The MTX may be the same. I think the difference in the skids is the length behind the rear arm. Too bad for you mine is in the trailer still.
I haven't looked very close in the pictures, but that's what my impression was.

Now that more of you have your XTX's, can someone with the skid out measure the mount locations for me?

I have the following measurements
Anybody got any advice?
This measurement is without allowing any difference for going from 9-tooth drivers on the donor sled (2009 Nytro XTX) to 8-tooth extros on the Viper. But that is only about 1/2 inch right?
Can someone Verify, Refute or Add to my measurements please ?
- Axle center to front mount center 8.53 inches (21.7 cm) ---- compared to 21.35 cm (your measurement)
Axle center to rear mount center 37.09 inches (94.2 cm) ---- compared to 94.35 cm (your measurement)
Front mount center to rear mount center 28.5 inches (72.4 cm)
- Tunnel brace (protector) to front mount center 5.125 inches (13 cm)
Tunnel brace (protector) to rear mount center 9 inches (22.7 cm)
Tunnel brace (protector) to axle center ??????? I don't have this

If you have a donor sled why don't you make a template off it. Just a thought.

I only had 5 minutes with the donor sled before I had to leave. I just didn't get good enough measurements. The drive axle was out, so I had to do some fancy figuring and it took all my time.

Update: For any watching . . .
The measurement is indeed 28.8125 (28 13/16) inches CTC of the 2 mount points. I was finally able to verify this myself.
Thanks for playing.
