'09 xtx driveshaft fit on '10 rtx

I am just wondering if a driveshaft from a 2009 xtx will fit on my 2010 rtx? The part numbers are different but has anybody ever came across this?
RTX 8GL-47511-20
XTX 8GL-47511-10

I wish i could help but I wouldnt feel comfortable giving you the wrong advice. I believe it would work because they should both be 2.52 pitch drivers

Yea, its is just the different part numbers that makes me wonder...

call a yamaha dealer (mid north play powersports in Sudbury) and see if the 09 part number supersedes to the 10

Yes, it will fit. 2010 and up driveshafts are a little longer on the chaincase end to solve the "broken bolt in the chaincase problem".
