Anyone using an 1.25" x 121 track?

Reason I ask is I can get one for free, if it's a noticeable improvement in traction I'll do it. (Free, and of course I will be cutting it down to width...but still costing nothing I guess)

I only had my FX out for 18kilometers, as I bought it for a wicked price because winter was over. (1750 kilometres for $4900 Canadian) And I noticed that it does NOT hook up until about 45km/h. Just spin, spin, spin.

I know you can adjust suspension somewhat, etc. But from what I've heard the 1" track is just not enough for most guys out there. I will be using Aaen Exhaust, Ulmer Air Box mod & either Ulmer or Schmidt clutching, and maybe a Schmidt fuel pressure regulator if it will help with the other mods (I'm making my upgrades this summer...wow it is going to be a long summer....might have to rip up some grass just to feed my addiction...)

Thanks all,

Yeah, I will be cutting it down to 14". I have a table saw and saw it on Youtube. Doesn't look hard, just a little time consuming.

So....I guess the answer is NO. Nobody is running an 1.25"x121 track.

Guess I'll be the first one.

I would guess most of us with an FX or RTX that came with the 1" Ripsaw would have benefitted from the 1.25" Ripsaw but would have never justified the cost to gain .25".

That was the biggest reason I didn't even shop 1.25" tracks when I started looking. If you can get one for free, do it. All you have is the labor of changing them over.

My thought is ebay the stock 1" and 1.25" tracks and go get the 1.5" freeride. I have yet to see anyone badmouth the track once installed. I love mine and recommend it to all phazer owners.

Good luck!

Ya I thought about selling them both, but I will have some room to open er up quite often, so I think the 1.25" should be a good balance between traction & top speed.

Thanks for your input...

yes it should be. i lost 7mph on my top end once installed the 1.5 inch. but i took it out of the shop and popped it over this little hill. i was grinning from ear to ear.
