If you ride in snirt - don't waste your time. Small pebbles/rocks will get stuck in the holes & can you imagine what they will do to your track clips??
Powder riders......give'r.
trail riders..........not worth it.

Well I have a new set of sliders i'm putting on for winter, but the idea for the radar run on glare ice is to encapsulate snow because you can imagine how hot those sliders/clips get with low lubrication at 100mph+ this keeps the lub up on the sliders. It worked well. We have lots of snow here not much if any "snirt" . I'm looking to break 100 next radar run with some work. The sled with carbides just simply spun for 150+ feet. I'm a light rider also.yamahahaha said:y drill sliders?

IMO, you need to run only 114 studs if you want to radar run. But, you need longer studs. Like a Woody's 1.450 with Poly backers... You need to add an extra wheel at the bend of the skid to reduce the friction caused by the bend and sliders. Did you try gearing it up just 1 tooth to see what that outcome is first? You need to re-clutch for two gear sizes and even one for that matter. Even stock would help it out. 1000ft is not that long, so you need to maximize clutching.... Meaning get some type of kit to maximize the accleration in a 1000ft. Unless you are running the header with the exhaust, I would run the K&N's with a fuel controller to help with performance. You need to slam that puppy down on ice. Lower your floats to 20PSI and tighten the limiter up 2 notches and strap down the rear suspnsion so there is only 2" of suspension there....

I did everything you said as far as suspension. It is geared 2 teeth on top and its using all the gears becasue the belt ran 1/4" from the top of the sheave. I plan on getting header etc. and possibly 2-speeds. Wont be for a couple weeks though. Just thought i'd see what I could get out of it geared up completly stock. I only weigh 145 lbs thats prob a big help as far as using the gears. Which would be better, excell header with prog. or k7ns with prog.? I'm going to be clutching it either way.
