Maybe this has been covered already but I missed it. Here is my question: On cold start our two 11' apexs seem to fire, then die. one of them took two three tries. Started on the third. Temp was 20 degrees.
I always turn key, wait for the fuel pump to cycle then turn the key till it fires. Have done this procedure on 06, 08 apexs and 08 Nytro's no problem.
Is the motor "tight" yet with only 200 miles on it? Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks,
Jon

Mine is getting better with more miles. It,s calibrated very lean in the low end. If the motor is not fully warmed up it will hesitate when punched from slow speeds.

I think Daranello meant the past tense read (like red) this a few times. Not instructing you to read something a few times lol, I had to look twice too.

Yes. A number of us are.
The new low revving on start up Apex's are having the issue you describe for some.
Mine starts up many times seeming on less than 4 cylinders and will slowly catch then run ok. If you shut it off and immediately try it again it will usually catch on all 4 right away. This seems to happen even in a heated shop.

Mine did it the day I picked it up from the dealer and it was 60F. Not every start but every now and then. Hasn't done it in the last week or so now.

Thanks for the link. I read it. Friend of mine said to prime the fuel pump TWICE before starting as opposed to once. Both of my 11's seem to stumble not on all four cylinders then they both begin to fire on four. Hope to put on another four hundred miles this week and will report back if this goes away as the engine breaks in more.

Is it possible that not only are the 11's a little lean on low rpm, but also you guys are now running premium fuel, as opposed to 87 that you ran with all of the older sleds. 93 is going to fire a tick harder.
