Cold Start problems

Do you think the servo motor for the EXUP moves a little slower when colder, choking the exhaust for a moment causing it not to start? i wonder how closed off the exhaust is on first start? just thinking of other possibilitys..

Well fired up my '11 sitting in -30c for 48 hrs and 1 start fire, and ran normal. Soooo I guess once it breaks in it gets better apparantly, still cant believe it

In a previous post apexdriller said that he plugs in his inline heater ( block heater) about half hour before starting the machine & says it starts awesome! I have yet to install mine but it's coming!!

-10 F last weekend started on second attempt.

+ 26 F this weekend, took 4 attempts to remain running.

1150 KM on the sled.

Based on yours and mine it appears the colder it gets, the less attempts are needed for successful ignition.

Very Weird.

Do you guys think humidity has something to do with it?

I do most of my riding in Ontario and the past few years the winters have been very high humidity..

A few weeks ago -23'C (85%) in the morning went to start the seld, started fine but ran rough for the first min..

Never happend before and I have started the sled a lot cold than that..

Just woundering if humidity is playing a role in that..
