My vector impressed me today i was on a good hard packed road and saw 111 on dream meter and let off. Seems like the more miles i put on it the louder and faster it goes. It was a very nice day to ride it was 30 deegrees out and plenty of snow. But i had to cut the ride short beacuse my track started sliping need to tighten it.

Is it stock?? With a few mods you can see another 10 on the dreameter easy.

I don't understand how everyone is getting this speed? I seen 94 on a lake which equal's 84 on my GPS. The same week on a different lake I seen 90 which equals 81.6MPH. Both times I held it wide open for 15 seconds after reaching the top speed. The conditions were hard pack snow. My sled was turning about 8300-8400RPM. My sled is a stock 2006GT. 96studs down the middle and studboy skags. Could there be a issue with my sled?

My personal best on the dream meter was 116, on a WICKED hard packed trail, no studs, and perfect conditions.

Could usually see 110-113 on a good surface, but I think the 144 I got put an end to that.....

By the way Josh, it was on Burn Down Alley on the way from jackman to Pittston Farms. You must know the place....

That was down hill... At the grand canyon................. LaLaLa :jump: Hey tom, have you tried it since you put on the duece bars? MM.

i had my o5 vector at 110 on a lake shortly after break-in....the harder i ran that thing the better it ran. it would shoot to 100 pretty fast but the last 10 mph came on gradually. im not much for admiring the instruments at those speeds so i cant tell ya what i wa s tachin. :-o

The reason your seeing such low speeds is because your only tacking 83-8400.How many miles do you have on the sled it dosen't sound like the engine is broken in yet?It should run 8600rpms

Are ANY of these speeds from a GPS? I need a tailwind and a long run to get to 100.

I have 1600 miles on the sled. At lower speeds and from a stop, it will spin up to 9000RPM. But it always starts lowering down to 8300-8400RPM on top end. It seems that I need a steeper compound helix or the sled has to much gearing that it can't pull it.

Any help would be a bonus.

I have a 2007 Rage GT. I saw 114 on dream meter, when sled only had 100 miles on it. It now has over 2,500, and I can still only get 114 on Speedometer, (101 0n GPS). I have had 3 different 4 stroke Yamaha sleds, and none of them ever got faster as it broke in. I think it is a crock, that people think they get faster as they get broke in. Same thing with my sledding buddy, he also has had 3 4-stoke Yami's, and none of his sleds ever got faster as they got broke in. Same for fuel milage. I got 17 MPG when it was new, and still get 17 MPG.

Do you remember the day that I asked you if you wanted to go for a ride in the forrest? The sled repeated the speed again on my "test" road.
BTW I put 100 miles on the sled that afternoon and YOU never called me back. It would have been a nice ride from the Allegan club house to my meeting place on the trail. I did a LOT of off trail riding that day. :-o :tg:
