Anyone extended their flap on the XTX? I'm finding that since the tunnel is extended, they still used the same Apex flap. It pretty much sticks straight out.
Guys behind me complain of the ice chunks falling off my tunnel and rear exchanger. I almost thought about riveting an extension onto it. I have a spare Viper flap, but it's totally different and not usable.
Yes my friends complain as well! Oh well let'em eat!

Is the keel deeper on the Apex Mountain skis as well? We have so much snow right now, I could use that. I HAVE TO DIG THOSE OUT TONIGHT!
I have a garage mission as more snow falls as we speak.
1. Pour a Captain/Diet
2. Climb up into the attic and pull down the Apex Mountain skis
3. Pour another Captain/Diet
4. Pull off stock skis
5. Pull off woodys dooleys
6. mount dooleys on Mountain skis
7. Pour another Captian diet
8. Mount mountain skis
9. Install new right grip heater And I hope there is no wire stipping involved, as it should be plug and play like the others I have installed.

It counters the sweet Morgan. It's one of the few drinks both my wife and I enjoy. At least she doesn't drink my beer in the boat!

Great Video Biff! Will be my project someday. But first next year I will have to get rid of the Singleshot shocks. My wife and I put on 70 miles today. I know not much but there were a lot of bumps and we both were shot. And the tuners almost pushed me into a tree. The 1.75 Backcountry on mine has paid off this year! Who knows previous years the Ice Cobra or Storm would have been great. Hers has the Ripsaw. I am very happy to have put enough miles on from home. No Trailer queens this year to completely evaluate the gear on these sleds this year. I was also impressed that we only burned a half tank in 70 miles!

And flotation is awesome too. I will have video later. But we are literally snowed in at the lake and can’t get out. 4-6’ drifts have filled the roads. And my editing computer is at home.
I may have to edit some down on my phone
I also got to ride a new Freeride 850/137. What a wheelie machine. 12 o clock is where the skis point!

I did notice that they do blow a lot of snow up over the hood. Or we just have that much snow!

mine both do the same thing. i find the 2016 with the +4" riser better in the powder as most of the ski dust hits me in the chest. the 2011 with the +3" riser i cannot stand as tall and end up with a visor full of snow but i still prefer it in the snow atm as the clutching on the 16 needs to match the 11 as it does not trench as bad how it is adjusted.
the mtx sleds had a deflector for the snow dust off the skis in the powder that went on the nose. after this season i am thinking about installing them.
