12 apex xtx is home!

You'll hate those mirrors. If your 6' or over, bar riser is a must. I'm 5" over stock using stock cables and wires. WRP seat, helps to eliminate the slope to the seat and just sits more comfortably than stock. I run Curves with 8" Slim Jim doilies. Turns, tracks straight, no darting. Skis are shimmed. Already have HIDs, you're good to go there. I do run a Yamaheater and a Rocstoyz power supply. That allows me to charge my phone and run a GPS in my tank bag. None of my recommendations will break the bank. Watch the classified and you'll find a lot of it there.

Just looked at your pictures. I'm pretty sure that's a MT riser on there. Mine was changed out after the first 20 miles so I might be wrong.

I noticed that it was higher than my attak so that’s good ! Thanks for the replies guys . I mostly trail ride but there’s slot of rivers , lakes and fields I play on and my attak got stuck fairly easy in big long drifts when we actually get slot of snow around here .

Well I finally got to ride my new sled!!!! Wow what a big difference from my attak, the trails weren’t very good but I put on 105 miles . The ride the turning it just eats bumps and the hids ! Wow !!! I can see a mile !! Wish I would have done that to my old sled what s huge difference! I got got some mountain skis coming in the mail as I type this now I just gota figure out where to put the spacers . I’m keeping this sled a looooong time!!

Good to hear. Yes, I had a quick connect fail on my HID's (after 7500 miles) And had to convert back to the stockers while waiting on parts. I rode Saturday night with stockers and will never do that again. I was just lazy and had not installed the HID's back in. That was the first thing on Sunday. HID's are the way to go over LED or Stock any day.

I bought a set of Apex Mountain skis as well, just for those deep days, or when we go back to the mountains. I have yet to mount them up, so share pics once you do.

192 miles on Saturday, a person cannot love a sled more!

I have ridden 980 miles so far this season on my 11 XTX, I loved my 09 Apex ER over my RX1, this 11 XTX is even way better.

I’ve heard people say they should have called 11 and up something different because it is waaay different ! Tons better! Skis should be in today I’ll have plenty of time to put them on because it’s been raining and warm the last two days, we lost a ton of snow but there is some in the forecast.

Got the skis where are you guys putting the spacers one on each side or both on inside or both on outside?

mine are both set up with a spacer on each side.

Looks like mine, I like! Mine has polished tunnel tho...lol. Just bustin your bag, good looking sled.

For what its worth,
"Some riders who bought these skis started out with way too much carbide"or way too aggressive in their runner combination selection. This is very important – trail riders should start out with the round 9mm NO CARBIDE runners on the outside position and the round 9mm runners with 2” of carbide on the inside position. Many hours of testing and calibration went into these skis, and they will surprise the crap out of you. This combination actually provides what most trail riders are looking for. If you want just a slight bit more bite for more aggressive riding, remove the 9mm runners with 2” of carbide from the inside position and install the 11mm round runners with 4” of carbide – trust us – and you will be pleased with the incremental improvement. Most everyone that went more aggressive than this combination came back down. They figure since they run single runners with 6” of carbide that no way would the sled work with only 2” of carbide on each ski. They forget that with two runners per ski you are going to have a lot of bite just from the runners alone.
