I went to Fleet Farm and bought a male plug with a 3 amp fuse in it to hook my shield to, I am thinking if there is a problem that it will blow that fuse first, If not it could be replaced with a smaller fuse as the shield only draw's aprox 1.3 amp or so. So far no problem but i have only pluged it in to try it for a short time. kviper

MrSled, are you asking about the fuse to the outlet itself, or something that has a fuse that you plug into the outlet?

no, a friend of mine keeps blowing fuses and cant get his 12 volt to stay working. I was out today playing on the lake and logged some miles and my GPS never blew a fuse.
