Im looking at buying the Ulmer 144 inch Rail conversion kit. I have an RTX the Suspension will be unchanged correct?????? Also Whats a good track.

Check with him about putting heavier springs?? I'm not sure, but I"d think that adding that much track to a 121 skid, will reduce the effectiveness of the springs, and the extra length will act as a lever, making the rear sorings work harder? Might not be a big deal on the smooth stuff, but jumping and rough stuff may induce more bottoming..

It's too bad Ulmer no longer offers these. I've been really happy with these rails. The suspension doesn't change locations. No torsion spring changes to it yet.

Just installed my Tracks USA extension (121" to 144") - same extension that Ulmer's use. First ride was this afternoon and I was very pleased.

The tunnel extension was from Hartman Inc. Relatively easy install with some major help from Towerrigger who already gone through the process.

Springs may have to be adjusted (on soft - I am 185 lbs). I was jumping everything I could find with no issue.

The track I chose was the 1.5" Crossover - seems very good over both packed and loose snow. Suspension is working very well after being re-valved earlier in the year.

yooper1, what are you running for studs, how many, what length? I want to do that to my rtx this summer...144 with cobra and studs.
My only concern is that with the tipped up tracks usa rail extensions I wouldn't have a wheel at the tip-up, like the xtx has...so is it gonna wear out the slides really fast at that spot? I mean they already wear out fast enough the way it is...

thanks

Here is an added set of wheels to a FX Nytro 121-144" kit.

I was able to take a short spin on Yooper1's sled last weekend and I can tell you guys that his sled absolutely rips in the snow covered
field I rode it in. Cobra track made a believer out of me.
