Seriously considering the idea of relocating the skid for a 128 track. Does this improve the life of the sliders? I am a trail rider for the most part and am only getting 1500 kms max in good snow conditions. 1000 kms when slow is icy or kinda thin. This will also dictate the depth of track I choose, its stock now. Also does someone make a kit or am I on my own?

I purchased a 2007 Phazer fX to join the 4 stroke this summer and with Gone Blue’s help install & extend new track (128 x 1 3/8), closed off the back window.added Ulmer Clutch and Hygear spring kit’s.
YAM-104 4" Rail extensions for 1996 to 2004 Yamaha snowmobiles. Also fits 2007 and newer Phazers. 121" to 128",

My phazer (121") always ate sliders @ the bend- known problem....
4 Excell X wheels across the front + added 2 Polaris brackets with idlers towards the rear, way less resistance & solved the problem.

I've considered the small low sno wheels fro Yamaha but haven't heard great things> I have a couple extra wheels and mounts from a phazer skid. can you post a pic of the front wheel placement.

Speaking of your Polaris brackets I shaved yours down so I could use two of the Excell wheels on them and installed on the rear in the same position you had them on your Phazer.
