Got my first chance to try the two together this weekend 100 miles total Had the longer links last year made a difference but still had a lot of ski lift. This weekend was different the 12mm swaybar does'nt prevent all of the ski lift but it does seem to prevent it from lifting so high you feel like it's about to go over. All in all I think it was a very good improvement. I have my 2.3 kg springs on order from pioneer should be here in the next week can't wait to see how they work out with my other changes. I'll let ya know

SO let me ask you! you say you had the longer links last season? Please let me know was there a any improvement and if so how much ? Also did you change any other adjustments as far as adding or lessening spring tention or limiter? And how much diffrence did you see with the 12 mm. bar this week, please be honest because I am just going to pick up the longer links this week and want to know what to expect! Thank you!!!
I have heard alot of talk about these. Would they be good for the mountain sleds (powder) or just trail riding?

Goes against the very principal of mountain riding. Would make it harder to get it up on it's side.

Viper1 the links made some difference. When you were sidehilling it got rid of the feeling you were going to tip over, however they did'nt seem to keep the skis down in the fast corners like I hoped. Now that I've added the swaybar it seems much more stable than before gonna need a little more snow to truly evaluate but it seems like I got a lot less ski lift than before and less give on the one ski that was planted just seems stiffer. These mods are definitely for trail riding only don't think it will help at all in the mountains those guys like to ride sideways and standing up :roll:

Hey guys still some confusion on my part. I've heard of the 11mm bar but not the 12mm. Where can it be purchased and is it remarkably better than the 11mm. What else has to be changed? Aside from the links of course. I'm very interested in a great handleing front end and am very dissapointed in the stock set up. :roll:

What I am referring to is when you are forced to ride along the edge of a very steep embankment (sp?) occasionally you get stuck on the wrong side of guard rails or you run out of flat surface. When the angle of the slope forces you to lean so far over and you still feel like the sled is going to go over on you and end up at the bottom of some ravine. Been there done that! us flatlanders don't have the luxury of 3 feet of powder to cushion the fall so we end up breaking pieces off of our brand new sleds all the way to the bottom. My point was the sway bar and longer links really helps reduce the roll affect when put in these situations. Whether the correct term is sidehilling or not I really don't care just trying to explain it in my own terms. For you Mountain riders It's probably like riding horizontally along the side of a mountain. I notice for the most part you go straight up to the top or do a quick turn and point it back down again. In powder you can probably bury it enough to keep it flat sidehilling but on hard packed hills with little snow you don't have that option all you can do is hang out there as far as possible and hope it don't go over. am i making any sense here :lol:

you can also try the straight rate springs. there was also some talk about fox coming out with some kind of air shock that you could adjust out on the trail ??

I insalled the 12mm bar, longer links, and Pioneer straight rate springs late last season, they made a big difference. I trade the sled and will now sell the package for $125 + SHIPPING. Check out the parts for sale category for other RX1 parts. These parts have under 500 mi on them.

sinjinrx1 I have a place in Nevis up by Park Rapids had about 3- 4 " to play around in pretty much all on the Heartland trail 28 mile stretch from Park Rapids to Walker. Snow of course was not that great but after the last few years I take any advantage of it that I can here's a web site that my club maintains up there my place is about 1/4 mile from the trail.
