looking good.
i'd recommend putting some low snow or better yet some mtx wheels in the rear. where the old axel was.

I was in a hurry last night so I just posted a pic. Here's my review:
I changed from a 1.5x121" freeride to a 1.25x136" ripsaw. The sled is now faster on the top end but lacks the traction that it had with the 1.5. It's almost a good thing though because now I can steer with the rear and slide the rear with the brake more easily on the trail. Engine braking has been reduced by about 1/2 I'd say. Deep snow is effortless now, the sled has so much more flotation than before and doesn't dig big holes like the 121 did. The ride is smoother because of the longer wheelbase but the turning radius is longer (still considerably less than my buddy's crossfire7). There is less vibration because of the shorter lug as well. I had to increase the torsion spring setting to hard because of the extra length but I'm still getting some track rub in the tunnel that I never got before. All in all the track seems to be well matched to the engine and it makes the phazer a little more enjoyable to ride. I did about 50km yesterday and I'm going out today to ride it some more. After that I will attempt some clutching to get the maximum from this combo. Overall I would highly recommend this upgrade to anybody that likes to ride off trail. It makes the sled much more competent and better riding. They should have made a 136" from the factory.

I used the rollover kit yesterday as well when I flipped it on its side. The engine died but the LED warning light did not flash. I wonder what is up with that? When if flashes it is supposed to indicate it has closed the valve. I hope this is not a faulty kit.
Check your wiring and the fuse.It should flash.Make sure its open with tether in since you dont want trouble.Sled looks great.Nice job!

Nice write up. If we ever get ours up and about again I may take that on.

The only reason the engine braking feels less and the turning feels effortless is that the Freeride track grabbed the trail more as the Ripsaw slides alot more on the trail in corners and stopping.Ruckus said:I was in a hurry last night so I just posted a pic. Here's my review:

Oh no doubt. The rear is tipped up too so there's even less track on the snow now. I like it though. If I can find a 1.5 or larger over the summer I'm definitely going bigger.

wheres the track hitting in the tunnel? sides or on top?
should have plenty of room. i have 1.75 lugs & haven't bottomed yet.
you know theres room for 2" from the mtx's.

I just found out its hitting the bracket for the snow flap. Time to extend the tunnel I guess.

Made an extension from 10.25"x17" 18 gauge aluminum if anybody needs the measurements. Shaped it on a metal brake. I cut the rear grab bar and inserted 2, 12" schedule 30 pipes, slipped them into the long end inside and tacked it, then slid on 8" tubing to match the O.D of the grab bar and welded it in place. Did an abuse test on it after it was welded up and it was plenty strong to support the weight of the sled. The track extension is roughly 7.5" so I made my extension 8" for good measure.

What did you do with your old freeride track, and how worn out is it?

I set my front shocks to their minimum setting (119mm) and I swear to dog the height of the sled dropped by an inch sitting there. I increased my rebound and dampening a little to bring back the performance. I gotta say, what a difference to the ride of the sled! It is not near as tippy and responds way better when sidehilling. Another thing I noticed is that it really weights the outside ski and drops a little rather than lift the inside ski. Just spent an hour or so boondocking in off-camber fields and it was awesome!
