Anyone else experience any rubbing on the outside edge of their tracks? First ride on my 06 Attak after installing a ZX2 last spring along with a 1.5" Ripsaw. Only went for a short ride today but I noticed that on both sides of the track I have some wear marks. Looks to me like it is rubbing on the drop brackets where the Mono was mounted.

Do those brackets need to be removed? I was hoping to leave these in to make it easier to return to stock if needed but I don't want to damage the track too badly.

I think the suspension moves side to side more than stock. I had some marks on my track , 144" zx2 stock width. I think the drop brackets from original was rubbing and causing the marks. So I removed mine. On my brackets you could see the area the track was rubbing on.

Also make sure every thing is aligned right and there are no areas the track could hit.

I removed the drop brackets tonight. Hopefully that will cure my rubbing problem. Looking down the inside of the tunnel I can't see any other spot that would rub the edge of the track.

your track width is stock 15"? Iam not sure if mine is cured but then again I haven't looked since I've done it. I also know that there are 2 bolts near the front that also look close to the track on each side.

Yep. 15" wide. I will have to take a look to see if I can see those bolts. I stuck a worklight down the tunnel earlier and it looked good. I realigned the track yesterday and also tightened it up a bit. It started to ratchet a bit towards the end of my last ride.

Last year I ran my track fairly tight. Iam not sure if that caused the slides to wear out faster than normal. This year so far I put about 100 miles on and slides look new. But my track is really lose. I have about a 2 1/2" sag without weight. I do get ratching every now and then when getting on it from a stop. Iam going to tighten it up before my trip to the UP.

Ill see if I can get a picture of those bolts. Its basically the nut end sticking out towards the track. I have an 07 gt, so iam not sure if they are on yours also.
