13mm sway bar making sled push in corners????

Is there an update?I did the same thing. My 07 RTX pushes really bad in the corners also now.I run the stock skis with 6 inch dually s, which I know is not the greatest but it didn't push before i installed the sway bar.The outside ski would bite, and let me turn. Now it is trying to corner flat and it pushes.I am wondering if I need aggressive skis? You are running simmons and they bite hard, but still pushes.Could we have too much ski pressure?Back the limiter straps off?I really hope to figure this out as over new years the Apex sat in front of the cabin with 15 inches of snow on it.I had to bust out the old Firecat.

An update for 13 mm sway bar ????

A MM or two on a sway bar is not going to make a noticible difference in 15" of fresh Powda.

junk

This is another example of my post that said if Yamaha put it on the sled, it should be changed.

I am not saying I don't like it.I don't like the push now,but that may be because my combo may be off or need some fine tuning. My next test would be to try an aggressive ski for bite, and loosen the limiter strap back to stock.Maybe one step at A time.

I would say if you getting a push with the 13mm bar its because of loose snow conditions and because you were going soo much faster threw the corner than you were before with the stock 11mm bar..

Trust me ive tried both sway bars back to back on the same day.. There is no way a 11mm bar is going to go threw a turn faster than the 13mm bar..

The conditions weren't the best.I will agree with you on that one.I need to go over the sled maybe something has happened.I have to sit down and figure this out.I almost had A yard sale.and I wasn't turning it up yet.Last year this sled was all I wanted, now I am thinking about getting rid of it for A crossfire.

OK guys, just got back from 3 days of riding in Pittsburg, NH. Trails were excellent to very good. Rode all different trail conditions: hard pack, 2" - 3" mushy greasy top and 14" of powda.

Good news - Me and my son's sleds were not pushing as bad as our first nightmare ride. I think this is partly due to well maintained non-twisty tighty trails. If you've ever rode in Pittsburg you know what I mean.

Bad news - no question whatsover my sled does not corner as well as it did before I put the 13MM bar in. No offense, but I don't care what excuses/ theories anyone has, my sled simply pushes more in the corners no matter what the conditions are (powda is irrelevant), just stating facts. Front end definitely feels stiffer and simply doesn't bite like before.

Since I bought the 13mm bars from Bruce @ Pioneer Performance I asked him what his thoughts were. He said that a lot of guys don't like the Simmons skis and he suggested upping my fox floats from 50 lbs to 60-65 lbs. Well I love my Simmons, own 3 pairs and they seemed fine before I change my sway bar. Also, I don't want to increase my air pressure so as to avoid ski lift in the corners. I don't know maybe I can increase the pressure now that I have the stiffer sway bar??

I am trying to get used to them but not sure I ever will but i'm not giving up just yet. Thinking of reducing transfer and seeing if I get better bite.

Thanks for the reply.I upped my air pressure to 70,also tried various pressures in between. It didn't help much on my application with pushing. It just made the sled worse in bumpy conditions. Are your limiter straps pulled up?You think maybe too much ski pressure?I am running stock skis, and was assuming going to A more aggressive ski would work?I also like the Simmons skis.I run C and A razors on my other sled, but wanted to run the Simmons on the Apex.

Id ditch the skis if i were you.. I dont have any push with my pilots.. If anything if i push it hard enough it ski lifts because the skis are doing there jobs and digging in..

Sorry to sound simple, but what is the difference between the stock and this 13mm sway bar? What does this 13mm do differently?

It's thicker which makes it stiffer.
