Just got back from a 400 mile ride in the U.P. (houton/hancock)
I must start by saying i really think the apex GT handles great in stock form. (alot of people are over picky and lazy) But tends to not roll but pop up in some really hard corners! (nothing unmanagable)
I installed the swaybar before the trip,,, and i expected it to handle very flat and be quite rougher on the chop!
It was extremely flat on all corners.. (you still have to lean though) i would say it is about as flat as you can expect from a rider forward sled!
It does ride a little bit rougher in a strait line on the really choppy stuff from side to side but nothing i couldnt handle (a 12mm bar would be softer)
I have my center spring compressed to the tighest setting because i am aggressive rider and weight 210 with gear! and the rear suspension is alot rougher than when it was stock but hardly ever bottoms! (shock dampening makes very little to no difference in ride! ( i will be ordering a bigger spring)
Amazingly enough, i have the transfer rod setting set at max. transfer and it still handles great with the 13mm bar!
The great thing about the 13mm bar is you can go very fast threw very rough/choppy corners and the harder you ride the better it rides and handles!
NOTE: i only recommend the swaybar for VERY aggressive riders! A 12mm bar would be better for the people in between and the guys who just cruise around should leave it stock!
1130 miles on my GT and i really couldnt be happier!

There was some mention in another post of the stock sway bar being 12mm to begin with. can anyone confirm whether stock swaybar is 11 or 12mm??

I measured the stock bar with a wrench and it is 11mm just like the 04 and 05 sleds!

I rode an Attak at the TY ride with the 13mm bar and thought it transfered a vibration up thru my arms. Another rider noted the same thing. Our arms tingled once we got off kind of like when you get a off a vibrating twin. We all had Attaks and were able to try them back to back.

So how much flatter did the attak handle w/the 13mm,as i am getting ready to order it,and i ride very very agressive, and wont mind some tingling,as i am coming off the fusion!!!MightyWarrior said:I rode an Attak at the TY ride with the 13mm bar and thought it transfered a vibration up thru my arms. I agree with Mighty I also road a attack with a 13mm sway bar and it was way to harsh. My arms also felt numb.
My attack has zero ski lift. I don't think there is a need for a bar.
The front end is just as it came. I have the big boy spring set at the second C clip position and zero clicks on the cam adjuster. I have the straps pulled up 2 from stock and the weight transfer in the middle.

Like i said its for AGGRESSIVE riders only... It does ride rougher and does cause more arm fatigue but you GAIN handling!!
A 12mm bar would be better for the the guys wanting the best of both worlds!

Hi again weltracer,i know you said it is for agressive riders the 13mm and it had more vibes, was the attak you guys rode have fox floats on them?? Reason i ask is i was only thinking i would go w/the 13mm because i have the floats on,and the floats do a wonderful job thru the junk going straight ahead, but not when you try turning, that is why i decided to give the 13mm a try on my attak,as i am getting the 12mm for our rtx, what are your thoughts.. Thanks Petewelterracer said:Like i said its for AGGRESSIVE riders only... It does ride rougher and does cause more arm fatigue but you GAIN handling!!
