The sectoring of canada vs Us has also to with the many years the dollar was 40% less but price was only 20% more.. and since the orders are made 6-8 months in advance, i guess they have to foresee a variation in the dollar. I guess with the borders being so close, the dealers would be left hanging as soon as the dollar would vary, if buyers could go on either side of the border.
But it still pisses me off, even BRP that is a Quebec company, charges a lot more to its citizens for a sled all dollar currency considered, i guess we get it bad both ways...

I had a close friend from canada who I helped out buying a new grizzly 700 last year. He came down to NY. He gave me the money and I went and bought the NEW grizzly with his cash but in my name. We spent the week riding in NY and when he was ready to go back to NS I sold him his grizzly and wrote him a bill of sale for a used grizzly that was for much less than the purchase price and he went home. He only had to pay duty on the amount I wrote because after all, he was buying a USED grizzly from me at that point, not a new one... Technically I bought a new grizzly, put some miles on it and then sold it as used to him... It saved him a ton of money and gave us a week or riding in NY...

I think you guys are very, very smart for not paying their ridiculous prices for these new sleds. Send a message and hopefully it will be received. I will never pay 14 G's for a sled, heck it's doubtful I will ever pay over 10 G's for one. You can always buy one model year old, leftover and save big bucks. No reason to pay for all that depreciation. Heck I like the 4S idea and it has served me well, but there's always the E-Tek DI or the Doo 4S for alot cheaper AND alot LIGHTER! If I have to, that's the way I will go, but I'm waiting until next year for sure.
