LAST WEEKEND I BROKE A 121 RAIL DOING SKY JUMPS CAN I BUY A SET OF 144" RAILS AND IS THE SUSPENTIONS THE SAME OR NOT???

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the tunnel mounting location for both skids (121 and 144) are the same, so you should be able to get a longer skid in there. There are some differences in the suspension, so if you're asking whether you can just buy longer rails and install all the parts from your 121 skid onto the longer rails, I don't know if it will work because I don't know if the mounting locations for the skid parts (front and rear arms, transfer blocks, cross-shafts, etc.) are in the same places on the longer rails.

You would have to go over the parts fiche and compare between the two skids if they use the same part numbers as far as the arms and such go. If that's the case, I would assume that the mounting location on the rails would be the same.

Won't be cheap though at $230 per slide. Better option would be to find a used rail and get extensions since you still have one good rail.

Same thing happenned to me. I busted a rail and while looking for a used rail, I found a complete 144 skid for 200$.

Mounting holes are the same, but I dont know about the suspension.

man did you luck out :jump:

Yes you did luck out. I just paid $325 for a complete 144 skid but the good thing is it only has 700 miles on it.

Ok my 144 freeride track came today plan to match it with 144 MTX rails what drivers should I use tooth or 8 tooth????? we ride mostly in Michigan on trails and 20% off trail in deep stuff
Thanks for the advise and our build will have picts and video

Run the 9 tooth. Better approach angle, less hifax wear, less change of track ratcheting then change your top gear to 17T.

He might run into the same issue where his freeride is on the shortside also, there is NO way 9 tooths were going to work on my sled unless I modified the rear adjusters to allow me to loosen the track even more. Even with my 8 tooth the adjusters are just about all the way backed off. Try the 9 tooth first, it may work for you, if not Ive seen cheap 8 tooth already on the axle for under 70$ on auction sites.

Thanks for your help I think i'll stay with the 9 tooth and switch the gear picts to come......

i did the same thing 121 to 144 all match up . love it have been riding 3 years like this 17 tooth upper gear and moutain driver . i ride lots off trail
