I'm having a hell of a time hooking up on my 06 attack. I'm running 162 woody gold-diggers and still I just sit and spin. I have transfer set to max. My buddies 600 rev and my girlfriends 550 fan cooled both leave me at the line. Whats the answer? More picks? Any help would be appreciated.

You got to keep the track on the ground,to much weight transfer will bring the ski up but lift your front track off the ground.

my weight transfer set-up on my rtx is 1/4 past stock for ski pressure and my limiter strap is up one hole for trail riding 2 hole for drag racing and my fox shock are lower.when i start my ski barely lift the ground. Also i was not happy with 144 stud, so i put 192. ;)!

Sifty, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but when you are in a "race" and you are starting from a dead stop...is your rear suspension set hard or soft? If your suspension is set too stiff/hard you are more likely to "spin" off the line. I have always believed you want to the rear(soft) to sag when punching it from a dead stop. I am no expert racer by no means but I am sure some guys will be along to help you out. If you could...let everyone know how your sled is set-up now.

You need to modulate your throttle some and not just pin it from the get go. Watch your tach and practice, practice, practice. If you just pin it from the start you'll just spin like crazy. When I'm launching hard I'm not at full throttle until 30 feet or so.

You also want to make sure your studs are long enough. I run 120 Roetin Hornets in a 1" track with about a 1/2 inch of stud past the lug. Some will say they are too long but that is when I say "wanna race?" Mine hooks up like crazy.

I run the rear shock setting about right in the middle. I don't get any ski lift as I don't get any hook up to pull them up. And I will break loose even if we do roll ons at 10 mph. Strap is set at OEM specs. should I try loosening that up? My picks are woodys 1.325 I think-its what they recommended double backers and singles all on the inside of the track. If I were to add picks do I add them to the outside or inside?

move studs to the outside belt of the track. Studding up the center only is a sure way to have no traction for racing. I run the outside belts full, every other hole is a minimum. Also, pull up your limiter straps one or two holes.

I agree with SRX. I would stud the every other on the outside and the rest on the inside but try to keep them out of the very middle. Maybe keep a strip in the middle about 2" wide with no studs coming through. The further from the rails they are the less they will bite. Also measure how far they stick out past the lug. You want at least 3/8 of an inch but I would recommend 7/16 or 1/2.

I went from 144 up the middle last year to 168 this year with 24 being on the outside belts. Transfer set to max, per MachZed, I tightened limiter up 1, set floats to level(approximately 45 psi), installed 13mm swaybar, and holy crap! Sleds now rails and I'm still launching out of the hole like a bullet.
