More like the crown royal xr!!!It might be The beer. But that's deep hahahah

The sad part is that Yamahas warranty and maybe quality IS the best! Hard to believe we all still ride with some of the #*$&@ we put up with. Has to be a addiction almost as bad as drugs. Will do it again next year.....My complaint is Yamaha walking from a defect, that is clearly a design flaw that is common when the sled is within warranty period. Clearly a company looking at a bottom line instead of taking care of customers, and standing behind their product. I'm not a ditch banger, and sled has never been "jumped".

Good point. Very true.Sounds like you have a bad dealer. Maybe a better dealer would have started ordering the parts the day you brought the sled in thus preventing the major delay.
The Viper is a fine sled and you need to pick that sled up and find a good dealer!

How can't this not be a bad dealer? He left the customers sled out all summer without a cover! Then he gave the customer terrible service by jerking him around for months! I am a manufacturer and I can tell you if one of my employees ever treated a customer like that they would be fired instantly. He offered a warranty on the turbo sled in writing and he needs to honor it. I don't care if he loses money. He said it, its in the contract, end of story.I don't think his dealer is a bad dealer. The guy seems real happy with the Turbo the dealer recommended. Dealer was thinking with his Snowmobiling head instead of his Business head at time it was recommended. Why in this world do we have to curb enthusiasm for something we love over fear of being sued? The OP has a responsibility to research ANY mod whether to chassis, suspension or engine. My motto is don't say anything that I wouldn't try myself. I believe the dealer would have added that Turbo to his own sled. Warranty loss is always a possibility with any mod or neglected maintainence. I know my tunnel and suspension are my baby now since I heavily modded it. My choice. Very few dealers work on sleds in summer. You and I are not the only customers. Can imagine customer waiting for his mower coming in and seeing tech working on a sled in July! The OP did nothing wrong intentionally but neither did the dealer. This is just what happens in a bad situation that hopefully will never happen again. Good luck RTX.

You are right he is a bad dealer for the length of time it took and leaving the sled out. Warranty on Turbo has nothing to do with what happened to his sled though. That was Yamahas decision. I almost always give EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt. But you are correct the dealer was wrong for his part in this whole deal. You are right. I didn't read everything close enough. Deal. Sorry if I got a little intense. I've had a few bad experiences with dealers who promised the world and then as soon as there was a problem they disappeared. I hope the OP gets his sled back soon. I think he should demand a loaner until his is done. I hope the rain all summer didn't leave him with a rusty mess.

Sounds like Hillary Clinton was the dealer... Good news boys you all can Settle down.. Trump will right all wrongs!!! Ride Yamaha!

That would be a very reasonable demand. Loaner. Good advice. Thanks Vilas I understand. For me having worked at a dealership I have been on the other end of a few very unreasonable customers. I guess I just can't understand how a dealer that obviously cared enough to recommend a Turbo kit that in my opinion is better than MPI trail kit could then screw up so badly. Maybe the dealer isn't a snowmobiler himself. That's the only thing that could make some sense out of this whole ordeal. If he isn't a Snowmobiler that would be enough for me to find one that is.Deal. Sorry if I got a little intense. So WTF. I bought a 2015 demo apex and had the dealer install an HID kit and DuPont sliders and got the 3 year warranty. So now is my sled modified and is my warranty only with that dealer and not with Yamaha? I really don't see any difference than this case. I have a bill of sale with the changes the dealer installed and showing the extended warranty. I fully believe that I could take it anywhere and get cracks repaired under warranty if that happened. I think yamaha needs to honour the bill of sale and charge back the dealer if he made the mistake. That is plain bullshit and I sled in lac du bonnet and very familiar with the dealership. I know I will not buy there now. That's what word of mouth and goodwill is all about. You fu** people and you lose business. Plain and simple.

Don't take me word for word. But I can't see Yamaha bought accessories being an issue. If your dealer says it won't void warranty you have to go by that. My dealer was referring to any mods done on your own.So WTF. I bought a 2015 demo apex and had the dealer install an HID kit and DuPont sliders and got the 3 year warranty. Let's get real here. DuPont slides and hid lights should come stock on an apex. Maybe they don't because then there would not be a need for any other sled!

Yes. It should be just like oil here in US. If it can't be proven the oil caused engine failure and failure was a defective part engine is still warrantied even if using a aftermarket oil. It's the law here and I assume it also applies to other parts or should.

You've obviously had a terrible experience and I understand why you are upset about it. But honestly Yamaha didn't screw you over your dealer did. What dealer was it?
Staggs65 is 1000% correct here.
Im sorry to hear of your misfortune but Your dealer lied to you and is giving you the shaft.
It is a shame that yamaha does buisness with a dealer like that but yamaha has done nothing wrong and cant really control what the dealership is doing or telling you

I disagree. It was both IF Yamaha denied warranty just because a Turbo was on there. We may never know. But a Yamaha rep was even there as stated so dealer did go through the hoops but messed up bad on time it took and care of sled in meantime. Let's see what happens. We are not directly involved and assumptions are being made. It's getting old. OK guys?Staggs65 is 1000% correct here.
