Hmm, what can I say, the sled is simply loads of fun. I keep getting later order/ship dates by turbo/SC companies (don't really want a MCXepress), and I expected something that wasn't going to impress me. Well I was impressed the thing has a lot more grunt than I thought. It doesn't have that arm straightening HP at 60 mph like my Attak did, but for general trail riding I think this thing is going to be more than fast enough. Smooth is fast and fast is smooth, and this sled really is smooth. I noticed right away that I felt like I was a part of the machine. I ordered a 3 inch riser cause I'm 6'1" but I really didn't even feel like I was hunching. We'll see. Sled felt nimble and quick.

About 10 inches of fluff. We just buzzed up and down Smith Rd. and the road attached to that. Trails aren't open and any further would have been muddy. Hopefully we get enough snow by weekend where it will be decent opening season riding.

where exactly do you live on the hill yamahnator? I live north of auburn, ny I trailer there a lot to ride. Does the fx feel like it is gonna be "tug hill" trail ready being they have some long nasty mogul stretches like from highmarket to crowfoot inn and cedar pines to sportsman. Have you played with your suspension yet for shock clicks and spring tension from factory settings?

No moguls to speak of because there wasn't much snow so I can't answer your question really. I haven't played with the suspension at all. The sled is super nimble and real easy to flick around so I think it's going to do real well. I live about 45 min south of the "hill."

Nice dude!

Thats Sweet with the Pictures I was going to head up to Tug Hill Friday, I head they got 16" on the ground and Lake effect snows all week long

The area with snow is still quite small. Remember too that a foot of lake affect is all fluff. Seasonal roads will be your best bet. The gound isn't forzen yet either.

How can you legally ride in NYS? These are funded trails. Are'nt you supposed to wait till after shotgun season? It would really suck if the landowers got burned up and closed these trails for everyone. Honk

These are season roads which you can ride on. Granted, you can't get very far without the 'trail' part of the trails. Also, Northern Zone hunting season closes after this weekend (muzzleloader) while souther zone is still open.

I'm going up tomorrow. The trails are open around highmarket flatrock montegue. They have NO late hunting season. December 3rd was there last day. I know this because I am a avid hunter and snowmobiler. I also know a lot of the people up on the hill like Mike from highmarket. I called him and he said trails are OPEN.

Don't know about your area, but the trails around here (central NY, Tug hill, Old Forge) opened last monday.

They have a different season up around Tug.... the season is not statewide... hunting seasons vary slightly... and it is closed in the tug region. Trails opened up there around the 4th I believe.
