2000 Grizzly 600 Valve Adjust

Just bought a 2000 Grizzly 600, on startup there's valve noise for a second or two, immediately quiets down and stays quiet. Is this normal, or is it time for a valve adjustment........thought I'd ask before opening it up. Thanks.

I got a 01 600 grizz and got the same noise. Loud noise almost like a clunking, its seems most older yamahas got it, not sure about new machines

I am sure it has to do with oil pressure on initial start up
