Hi guys,
New to the forum, but not snowmobiles. Bought a mint condition 2003 RX1 last year from a local guy who really looked after the sled.
Had my first problem with it yesterday, pulling it out of the garage I guess there was ice build up between the track and the tunnel near the exahaust. Revved her up and reversed out...the track spit out a muffler clamp.
Looking at it in the shop, it is one of two clamps just south of the gas tank. So, a couple of questions...
Can I access the pipe/clamps by removing the seat and is there an access panel you can remove to get at the pipe?
If so, how do you remove the seat?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Yes you can and there is piles of info on the forums on how to remove the seat and do the clamps. Have you searched the site?

Thanks for the response!
I did search the site before posting, yes. Went with "2003 RX1 exhaust clamp" and the results returned nothing. Perhaps I did something wrong?
Again, new to the forum and just getting my feet wet...

Thanks! I searched ty4stroke.com, not totallyyamaha.com
This is not the job I'm doing; the clanps are "behind" or south of the gas tank. I'm not replacing the donuts.
Was hoping to avoid removing the gas tank and wondering if there was an access plate (south of the tank) that I could take off to replace a single muffler clamp.
Your thoughts.

There is no access plate. You would have to pull the skid , pull the seat to replace that clamp..
