2003 rx1 tippyness

I tried doign that this season, and found that with the Cat skid it wasn't needed. In fact, I didn't corner any flatter, but the reduction in ski pressure made it push more. I know I could tune that out by adjusting the rear straps, but since I didn't notice a difference, I'll just put the springs back where they were. They must mainly help when you still have the stock rear skid.

You will NEVER notice a difference without sucking in the straps, in fact, reducing the preload withOUT sucking in the straps should make it tippier.

My point is that I don't need it any flatter. My skis never come up any more, unless I happen to hit a good sized mogul or bump with just the inside ski, and it comes right back down again. I can already corner as well as, if not BETTER than my friend's MXZ and better than any Rev on the trail. It is NOTHING like it used to be. I had to use a lot of body english to get through the corners at even moderate trail speeds. Now I can sit still on the seat and ride it like a Lay-Z-Boy and it corners awesome. I'm a happy camper.

I installed the 13mm bar and its the best $90 investment I made and only 15 minutes to install. The rx1 handles as good as any sled out there.

difference between 03 & 04 suspensions?

whats the diff between the 03 and 04 suspensions? The front sway bar? everybody talks about the tippyness of the 03 im adusting my 04 as you guys are sayin about the 03s.I tightend the limiter straps about 3 turns and loosend the frt preload on my frt shock on the rear skid. Still not happy.Thinking of tightening straps more and loosen the frt ski shocks pre load to 0. What u think?

If you are not as skilled as LB with the Yamaha suspension suggest you follow his numerous threads on the subject or do like many others and replace the Yamaha skid, this will correct your front and rear problems.

I have no ski lift with the 13mm bar installed and corner at twice the speed I could before. :4STroke:
