Has anybody found away too get more speed out of there rx1 in 3-4 inchs of snow. On a hard hard packed road or ice I can run 128-132 on speedo. On hard packed trail run 118-122. If there is 3-4 inchs of loose snow or more, I'm down to 109-113. I have the set-up listed below. The track was really lose this weekend and have the secondary at 70. Would tightening the limiter up help. Got about an inch of thread showing.I also got about 2500 miles on the belt. Any ideas would be very helpful. I love this sled just need a little more speedo speed in loose snow conditions. Thanks

Speed

Dont think you are going to do better that that. If is a very good DM reading for 3-4 of snow.

Seems too loose a lot of speed when running on snow. Was just wondering if there was any tricks to get more speed. Going to put new belt on and try the secondary at 60, as I have the silver spring in it now. Thanks

I think it involves the attack angle of the track Some say a different suspension helps some. I have a SC10 III in mine but really havent had a chance to try it in those conditions

The tracks on the 03's leave alot to be desired, I started with 192 studs but tore a couple out on the out side belts so I removed those and just run 144 down the middle, Probably the ideal amount would be 168. You loose a tremndous amount of traction on loose snow because of the nipple track

I changed the belt tonite and checked the secondary. I had the sec. at 80 . I thought i had it at 70. Must have been doin some testing last spring? Sec. set at 60 now. Got to break the new belt in and try it out again. The track was so loose it was jumpin off the drives.
