2003 RX1 - Wire Rubbed off - won't start

HEY...

I have an 03 RX1 and the other day it wouldn't start.... I checked through as per the service manual and came to the red wire under the tool kit. It was almost broke completely in half. I have done the repair and STILL NO SPARK! Anyone ever have this happen?? I've checked every fuse that I can see!

I believe the fuses that you need to check are on the right side of the sled above the chain case.

if you're talking about the one beside the battery ... 30A, its fine... checked it already

Check all your connections and wiggle your ignition switch.

Have you checked all the relays?? Including the main ignition relay?

Also, it may not be a bad idea to update your profile to include your location.

Do you have a freind with a sled that is working if so change out the CDI.

check the fuses by the coolant reservoir bottle they are located in a little rectangular box .

Grasshoper... How do I test a relay? I'm guessing it needs power hooked to it? It's either my main relay or the regulator is my guess...

WELL>>>>> I think I found the problem... when the red power wire arc'd on the frame, i think it fried my cdi... I'm getting power everywhere else... I'm going to try and find a used one at a reasonable price and hopefully that fixes the problem...

Grasshopper, grasshopper is spelled with two p's. lol Find a CDI and check it out.

LOL There's a reason for that... Back in the day when DOS was the operating system of choice, one was limited to 9 characters.... so, i just dropped one 's' and one 'p' and It's been that way ever since!! LOL

Well, you'd have to get yourself a battery, a couple pieces of wire with alligator clips on each end.... figure out the + and - input.... and multimeter to check for proper output voltage on the proper leads..... Listening for the 'click' is NOT a good way to check for proper operation.... OR... they are pretty cheep ($10- $12) OR just switch them around with another with the same part # stamped on it.. if anybody has a schematic, it will have the pinout for the relays....

been talkin to a tech out here and it looks like the stator... i find it hard to believe but we tried relays, fuses, cdi ... not much else it can be
