I started out this year with my stock 121 RX1 and have turned it into an RX1 Mountain. It has a 153 Maverick Track with a 09 Nytro Skid, Apex Drivers, Drop brackets, and a factory Yamaha RX1 Tunnel Extension. I have regearded from a 24tooth top gear to a 21 tooth. I am planning on doing an Ulmer Clutch kit asap to get the most out of the motor and to cure to atypical Yamaha underrev. It does have a air box mod in it, but i plan to change the jets back out (i already have a new stock air box for it) to the stock 137.5s to get the milage back up since it is just to thirsty, and rejetting for the mountains when i go there will just be easier with a stock box.
I also went with a larger CCA battery this year, Up to 325CCA this thing cranks over so much better with the bigger battery. And other than the Heated Sheild hook up, and the 4in Bar risers the sled is stock.
I am looking foward to getting to actually ride this thing now that it has some actual suspension.

Would you like to switch A arms to narrow the ski width? I have a 04 mountain which I have set up for flat land. Your bottom gear should be a 40 with the 21 top gear.

Sleddog, it is the stock bottom gear which is a 38, since the sled was origianlly a 121. And im good on the A arms since i do the vast majority of my ridding here in MN, i most likely will only take one trip out west (i have a bad back but want to experience it), and i plan to run the stock skis etc. Thanks for the offer though.

Did you put a heavier set of springs on the rear skid? the rx-1 was a little bit heavier than the nytro, how is it going through the bumps?

Yukon, i have yet to really be able to ride it, but no i have not done anything with the springs as of yet, i am looking into a set of fat boy springs and a revalve. But the clutch kit is first, then the springs.. I forgot to add that, though it seems pretty decent when i go over snow banks etc. But time will tell.

I finally ordered my Ulmer Clutch kit today. After getting a chance to ride it i realized how badly it was needed. So next week when i go up ice fishing i will really be able to test it out.
I also am trying to get a set of APEX Springs for the Nytro skid, as the ride is beyond soft and sags. I was able to dial in the rear shock so it helped but the springs are needed no doubt.
I also have to get the APEX radiator mod put in next year to take care of the overheating issues i had. The snow wasnt great and when i would stop and idle for any period of time it would get hot. But all in all i was majorly impressed with the power and traction when there was enough snow to hook up!
