There are two green wires on the throttle side top of the carbs with bullet type connectors. Unplug them and then plug them into themselves to bypass the tors. If this fixes your problem make sure you set your limit switch and hook the tors back up leaving them bypassed is not a fix and you could have a run awy sled.

Great you found the problem was tors so now set it correctly and hook the tors back up. Last thing you need is a runaway sled.

I had this issue as well. I had carbs cleaned, put new fuel in, new plugs, new oil the works. The sled ran like a dog(first time I had the sled out as Im the new owner), back fired on dcel and would only go 60-65. Half way through the night sled just magically opened up, still back fired every once a while. Then blew the belt, new belt on sled acts totally different.. Might check the belt.

i have the same thing on one of my rx1's. backfiring at deceleration and also small flames shooting out. but i do know that i have a jet kit from the previous owner. it had aftermarket gytr air filters but i switched to the stock air box because i was afraid of it icing up. i don't know if its not getting enough air or just too much fuel is being put in. anyone with the same problem? i was thinking about switching back to normal jets just to see if that would help, also it does not have an exhaust system
