Yamaha rs vector 2005
I have a 2005 rs vector and i just took the engine and changed the headgasket and stator and after i put everything together only thing left was to put oil in it i wanted to check if it did not turn over correctly but when i got the new barrery i tried to start it but it seems that the starter is turning but not cranking, i accidentally put the battery in wrong the first time and connected it +on - and - on + then it cranked over a few times before the 30 amp fuse broke and i put the battery in the correct way and no crank just spinning the starter so i tested to switch the connection again on the battery and then it turnd over a litle before the fuse went again. Can anyone give me pointers on what could be the problem?

sounds like your starter or solenoid is bad. try jumping the solenoid to crank it over and see what it does.

I figured it out a moment ago just a switched connection.. when i posted the question and was working on the RS i had been working 14 hour nigthshifts for 14 nights in a row so i was not thinking straight ;) now it cranks good, got oil pressure. now i just need 2 new ignition coils and new gas and it should run.
But i still don't get any activity on the dashboard when i turn the key on, but hopfully it comes on when it starts

Thanks for the respons :)

dash does not fire on those until engine is running.
