Hey Guys,

Thanks for the help on my other sled.

Having some issues with my 2005 Vector. I've been running it for a while and it idles great, no issues. Finally got to actually run it on the trail. Ran it for the first time yesterday and it didn't go well. Sled started running like it was missing or down a cylinder. Long story short, I rode it about 1000' and turned around and came back. It did not get hot and is cooling.

Long story short, I put the sled back in my trailer, running very rough and will not go above 5000RPM. I figured that the sled must have a bad coil or something of the like. Well, I swapped coils and it turned out the the Clutch side cylinder whether plugged in or unplugged was not making a difference. So, I figure I have a problem. First thing was compression test, 175 across all holes. So its not compression! The plugs on the two cylinders that did seem to be running were white on the bottom. The other plug for the cylinder that wasn't firing was wet.

Ok, so new plugs and new coils come next....... here's where it gets interesting...... When I went to change the coils, now the coils on the other two cylinders, (Middle and chaincase side) are melted near the top. Like really melted. But the coil on the problem cylinder is not melted.

So I get some new coils, put them in and now low and behold I have absolutely no spark at all! I checked the fuses under the airbox and all looks good, also checked the ones above the chaincase side and those are good too.

Any thoughts? I'm really perplexed here!

Wish I could help with this one but not good with electrical. Maybe post this up in General forum to let more people see.
