I have heard that riding an rx-1 with a turbo is not reliable and very expensive, is this true?
With a turbo can you still trail ride around 4000 miles a winter and not worry that your going to blow something up?

Where did you hear about reliability issues? I've heard they are as reliable as a rock and yes you can log those kind of miles. However, being king of the lake has it downside, cost. You're talking some big bucks not to mention the install time.

Turbos are totally reliable.. when tuned right.... Ive seen a couple of guys running mid 9s with them on this site (asphalt)

Expensive ?? YES!! but well worth it.. IM TOLD!!

I dont think there is a sled besides the mighty artic 1000 thats ever seen 120mph out of the box..

My warrior pulled my buddys zr800 at any speed..

stock for stock the zr900 and F7 are quicker and faster,,, but with right tuning the rx can run with and beat these sleds (if they are stock)

I love my warrior.. but wish i had a 05' now..

Didn't somebody suggest you wait for an 05 when you totaled your first Warrior buddy :?

Ya, but i rode 1750 miles on my second warrior!!

Ill be lookin for whats in store in 06' hopefully they will be super light and EFI!! wouldnt that be cool??

EFI and lighter weight would be really sweet. I'm interested to see how the 05 rx-1's with the lighter weight and much improved suspension handle the rough stuff and the occassional ditch banging. By my figuring the 05 rx-1's won't be that much heavier than a zr 900 so they should be pretty good in the ditch now.

Well dry weight on last year's rx-1 was 553 lbs. yamaha claims that this years model is 30 lbs lighter that puts it at 523 lbs dry. dry weight on a zr 900 is 507 lbs according to arctic cat. that ain't bad. that is of course, assuming that the manufacturers aren't lying.

Turbo's like Weltracer said are awesome when setup right however I know of at least one instance where the damage was catastrophic on one that was not. If your not mechanical and somewhat knowledgable on what to watch for you can burn your engine right up. Thus there goes the reliability bit. No doubt the bugs are probably out of them by now and it is a rare occurance but if for some reason you run it to lean watch out. :yam:
