I have an 05rx-1 . it had a a "fat boy" spring installed in the rear monoshock before i bought it . The previous owner was very heavy. I weigh just over 200 pounds. I also have the original spring. i am thinking of installing the original spring. Right now the rear suspension is fine with the dial set at the softest position. if i turn it harder, it is so stiff i cant even ride the machine. WIll the factory spring be heavy enough for me ? ( 205 pounds) . My wife is only 130 pounds and right now its too stiff for her. Also what does that dial do? does it make the spring stiffer? Any help appreciated! thanks!!!

I'd leave it in......200 lbs. PLUS gear PLUS saddle bags (if any).

if you put stock back in make sure you put clip in 3rd position, it should
work for you.

Yep, I second "rxwonder" I myself weigh 210 lbs and riding with a 6.5 and really like it...don't forget the ICE build up adds a LOT of weight on long rides on COLD days.
