2006 apex attack dead no dash lights, wont crank over , fuel pump nothing but the outer fuel solenoid clicking faintly and stays clicking until you turn the key off. when i check the battery volts i get 12.5 and when you turn the key on it drops to -8 maybe down to-5 or -3 fluctuates bad checked the ground blocks no corrosion no signs of being burnt, ends of blocks look shiny checked all fuses fire going to starter solenoid but not passing through the solenoid tried to boost it and solenoid would click fast i tried another solenoid and did the same thing sounds like a dead short some where in the harness maybe any ideas as i found some threads on this but did not work still dead turned the key on 2 days before and dash lights came but i did not start it as it was in the basement and yesterday i hauled it outside and nothing any ideas thanks and yes when the volts drop its in negative.

This time of year TY gets a lot of posts like yours and four out of fives times it is just a dead/weak battery. It doesn't always make sense given what guys report having tryed but it is often the battery. Unless your battery is fairly new and you maintained it over the summer and it has never sat flat for any length of time then I would just get a battery. A weak battery puts unnecessary strain on other components and since my 4 stroke Yamaha didn't come with a pull cord I don't mess around. Good luck with it.

Maybe a longshot but.....was the battery removed and then reinstalled with reversed terminals?

Had very similar things happen....on a kubota tractor. Can't explain all what goes wrong or how it happens, but the bottom line was...a bad battery. After going through the regulator, alternator, starter.....
Also, bought a new Exide for one of the cars....just clicked....brand new....shorted cell? It only showed 11 volts after charging. Guy said that is getting more common....??
I bring my voltmeter now when I buy a battery. 12.7 volts or higher.
Ps....don't use NeverStart Walmart batterys in your sleds.

I had the exact same thing happen to one of my sleds last year, and my wife's 2016 Toyota Sienna about two weeks ago. Neither would take a charge or a jump. Bad battery. I've come to realize over the years about 99% of any sudden electrical issue is usually related to the battery.
