Just did a suspension upgrade on my Apex gt went to a 144x16x2 track witha zx2 skid.
Questions is can anyone recommend a gear ratio to start. I think i will need 2 sets one for the mountains and one for the flat land running.
What is the best ratio i can go with without changing the chain? If i change the chain what ratios are recommended? What will i expect if I run the stock gearing with stock clutching (while i am waiting for parts)?
Riding style: 50/50 trail off trail not interested in too many WOT lake runs. 300 LB rider
I am pretty sure i will have to do some clutching once i get everyting together but that will be for another thread.

23/40 stock chain fits well. 22/40 w/bow in stock chain similar to the stock Attak @ 23/38 (the bow not the ratio). You'll be surprised how close your stock clutching will be. I'm running 23/40 in my stock Attaks w/136".
