I have a 2006 yamaha apex and i dont think i am getting any oil to the engine. Do i have to bleed the pump someway. Is there anyway to test this? Can i put oil in the top head just to be safe. No throwing any codes.

What makes you think it is not getting oil. Did you just do an oil change or turn it on it's side?

Long story, but the neighbor donw the street just sold it to me for 500 dollars and said he couldnt get it running. I can get it to crank over but it sound like there is no oil. I check the the oil tank and the oil level looks correct. So i have no idea how the oil was changed. i pull the three hose on on the oil tank and they look dry. one larger hose that come out and down. and two hoses that are T'ed together that come off the tank.

did you check the screen in the bottom of the oil tank? could be plugged.

An Apex will start without oil, and automatically shut down in about ten seconds. Oil flow can be confirmed by looking into the tank through the dipstick hole with a light.
Check for fuel next. Listen for the pump and confirm fuel is coming through the return line to the tank.

I would be checking for spark and fuel before looking for oil pressure. That machine needs to fire up to move the oil around.
Check the stator as well.
How many miles on the sled?

Thank you for the advice.
I could get it to start up but the second it fired up it made the noise of an engine with no oil in it. And everyone knows that "noise" so i immediately shut it down. that was my first indication i was not getting oil.
I pulled the screen from the bottom of the tank, i was fairly clean, i cleaned while it was off. I just changed the oil on it, i put the filter on with no oil in it and cranked it, pulled the filter again and there isn't a drop of oil in the oil filter.

I don't think that you would have oil in filter just by turning engine over. I'm almost certain that engine would have to run for filter to fill

I ran the engine for about 2 seconds. i am scared to keep firing it. Is there any harm in putting about a half or quart in the head?

When I changed the motor out in my apex the oil pump lost its prime and developed air lock. I poured some in the top end and then when I started it I had to shoot some compressed air into the oil tank to get the air out of the pump and get flow.

Putting oil in the motor does nothing to create oil pressure it is just pumped back to the tank by the scavenging pump. Only time you need to put oil there is on an engine rebuild. Oil from the tank is fed to the pressure pump and pumped to bearings and such. Have no clue as to what sound your referring to! There could be many sounds that a motor would make. Clacking, grinding, rattling, squealing, knocking and the list goes on. Now adding a bit of oil to the motor will not hurt anything!
If you have noises that scare you the instant it starts up you may have something that is already broken. Here is a thread that shows the oil bleed screw. http://ty4stroke.com/threads/error-code-30-oil-pressure-dropped-06-apex-gt.107270/#post-950479

I have attached a few pictures. I have purchased the suction gun tool. Can you tell me what number area I need to either blow or use the suction gun from?
Read Kinger's post at the end of this thread. I believe I shot the air into #4 from your picture. I tried the suction gun and it didn't work for me.

Yes read my post that ManhattenMike posted its a way to get oil through a checkvalve at the bottom of the motor. Also letting the sled sit with the oil tank side at a 45 degree slant for a day can help exhaust the air bubbles as well. The compressed air is faster though. If you are hearing noises then its too late. I ran my RX1 with no oil pressure about 6 time for less than 20 seconds each time before I figured out the engine rebuild was faulty and the oil pump was never connected. That little bit of running took my head out.
