2006 Attak vs. 2007 Attak vs. 2008 Attak (LTX)

Anyone ever notice a difference (performance, ride, handling)? My buddy has a 2006 and another 2 buddy's have the 2007's. They're ball busting me about my 2008 LTX-GT being "de-tuned" from factory and slower than the 06's and 07's.

I know theyre probably just messing with me but I'd love to hear from anyone who had a chance to compare.

To the best of my knowledge there are no mechanical differences that will make them run any different.
If it's fully broken in it should hang with them just fine. If not beat them.

Ride should be better on the 08 & 09s because they put a different spring-shock combo on the rear end!

Less bottoming out too!

And a smaller fuel tank. Smaller due to new regulations making the tank stronger to punctures, although anyone who takes off this tank will tell you its tough enough!

So yes, a slightly smaller tank will mean that you will theoretically be faster

And you will be faster by also cleaning your clutches regularily and breaking in your 08' properly
