I been out of sledding for a long time. I bought a 2009 Yamaha Apex Rtx last year but only rode it once due to it cutting in and out. I just finally solved the problem a few weeks ago it was the injector harness.
Anyway I bought another apex for parts it's a 2006 with Yamaheaters and the thumwarmer. I know the yamaheater was bar specific but can I swap the bars and the heater on to my 2009? My 2009 the grips are worn badly.

2006 had bolt on hooks. Not as good as the 2007 and up bars imo. I would just get another set of grips
Yes I know the 2006 have the 2 piece. My question is about the yamaheaters is the 2006 different wiring for the bars or the harness on the sled? The yamaheaters do wonders I've had them years ago.

I would highly recommend contact @Rockmeister as Rock of Yamaheaters is great to work, even if you didn't purchase the kit directly. If there were any differences, I'm sure he can set you up with a lot less hassle than swapping bars.

After checking his website, it appears there is a difference. I would still contact him to see what would all be involved with just getting the different components for the 09 Apex.
Yamaheaters are great to have. To be honest if you wire the 06 bars in parallel they will get alot hotter. Not recommended to past 4.
