Hello, I have a question regarding the exhaust issues on a mcx Apex w cr tunnel. Where do they crack and where do I look for leaks. The sled seems to sputter at wot until i throttle chop the fuel back to wot under load.I pulled the seat ,tank and the heat shield over the exhaust by the block. The clamps are tight and the gaskets are solid. Do I start looking under the tunnel back to the turbo/exhaust flange Its tight here, bolts are. Could be some other issue but I am this far and would like to look at any common exhaust leak/ crack area's, thanks

at any of the welded joint areas and collectors.. good way to test for exhaust leaks, start it, put your hand over the downpipe... if the sled stalls out very quickly, your exhaust is fine,, if it keeps running, start lookin, theres a big old hole.

Has anyone applied air pressure to they intake , pinch of the wastegate acuater line and watch listen for leaks. I made up a 3'' w x 6'' L rubber tube, capped off one end w a air line fitting and air pressure gauge, The other end was fitted over the turbo intake w clamp. pinched off the wastegate acuater line. I then aplied 30 psi and shut off compresser and listened for leaks, sprayed soapy water for bubbles. This was on my front mount alpine . Would this not work on a rear mount? I had a garret 2860 on the front mount. Would have to use a smaller diameter intake tube for the mc turbo intake.
