Stretching my ‘06 Nytro to a 136” with a Ripsaw II from TracksUSA

Any clutching changes I should consider? Different primary or secondary springs or secondary settings?

Thanks in advance

I would try it. See if you like hows its geared with that track first.

The RS Nytro models had pretty short gearing from the factory and the stock clutching would over-rev badly. Take Sleddy’s advice and run the sled stock first after you extend it so you’ve got a good baseline to start from.

Considering the '06 RS Rage was just a 136" version of the '06 RS Nytro, if anything maybe compare what the RS Rage used for gearing against what your RS Nytro is running. According to the microfiche, the '06 RS Rage used (Top=22T/Bottom=39T) and the '06 RS Nytro used (Top=21T/Bottom=38T). As for clutching, they both appear to use the same stock clutch weight but do use different primary springs (Rage=BL-GR-BL / Nytro=GR-SL-GR). For the secondary, they are both showing the same spring color (Pink) and helix.

I did something similar when replacing the stock track on my '18 Apex XTX; wanted an 1.25" track. I just referenced what size drivers and gearing was used on the '17 XTX's where you could order them with 1.25" or 1.75" tracks and used the '17 setup.
