im with this guy owned 3 06 700 polaris all blown cranks 680,792 ,596 miles spent all winter in the shop oh yeah that doesnt count all the clucth problems like eating belts every 70 miles. i bought the yamaha for its known reliability PUT GAS IN IT AND RIDE :yam:

I wasn't trying to say that what they had is bad, but it's been good since 2006. I love my Apex, but I could be tempted to buy another if they maybe made it a bit lighter, and I'd like a lower center of gravity. Maybe a 3 cylinder with comparble HP ot the 4 cylinder would allow them to mount th motor lower in the chassis. What we can get now is a full 5 years old. They need ot do things to keep people buying new, or else we will hang on to what we have, or maybe some will go somewhee else. I do agree with a few, there's nothing out there right now that I am really wanting.

2006 to 2010

I have a 2006 apex gt and I was going to buy something new this year but they have not made anymore improvents to the sled that I have'nt already done. And I dont want to buy a sled and put another 2 grand into it to make it work the way it should. so I guess i'll keep it another year maybe supercharge it and buy the all black seat from the 2010. Here is a list of things I have done to the sled to make it work. Hygear trailmod shock upgrade, 07 handlebar riser, updated bar wiring, rear heat exchanger, spoked wheels, 128 cobra track, updated front pivot arm, reinforced rear pivot arm, extrovert divers, ulmers clutch kit and 23tooth gear, water temp gauge, a arm bushing kit and oil filter relocation kit. pioneer wheel lowering kit. Pilot ski's with shaper bars, 07 tunnel reinforcements and 07 snow flap. I now like the sled and it has 6000 mi. just getting broken in. It probably would have been cheaper to ride ski doo and just rebuild the engine a couple of times. I have had to replace donuts and y-pipes and track because rear wheel broke and the adjuster ripped the track. sence 1997 I've owned 6 yamaha's a ski doo and a blade. This apex has been the most expensive sled to upkeep than any of the rest heck mybe all of the others put together with about 50,000mi on them. I think I've got it good for another 4 thousand mi. before anything else wears out (I hope).
