FireStone said:Now......now the vibration is solved. The right-inner sprocket was 3/16" next to the right place. So the tooth were going on the "rubber pins".
After this, no more vibrations!
The dealer have tried without extro-sprocket and there is not 1km/h faster than with it....so no difference!
With the helix at 6-1 and the 24th tooth gear, the best top speed is 180km/h at 10800Rpm and the best Rpm is 11000.
On the acceleration over 120km/h its 10900-11000 and over 155km/h, 10800Rpm. Big satisfaction!
2010 sleds are supposed to have a different kind of oil for breaking time. The peak HP is comming later....about 3000-4000km....I can confirmed.
From 0km to end of breaking time there is 8-12hp of gain....dyno proof.
The peak Hp for 2009 and later was coming at 1500-2000km.....
The Pioneer sway bar is....incredible!!!
Artic Cat front coil spring is a good mod for handling. The right target for handling is 17-18inch of height from floor to the point of bumper.
Carlisle belt is a big disaster....max 800-1000km...they cut like a knife cut!
A friend cut is Carlisle on a lake at 170km/h....all the pans and plastics around the clutch and cover were scrap.....800$$$
Yamaha OEM belt is better than we tought.
In conclusion:
-Front Artic Cat coil spring
-Pioneer sway bar
-180km/h (hard snow)
-No Carlisle belt
-5050km this season!
I have the same sled and i didn't have these issues. I have hit 182 kph stock with 1000 kms on the machine. My final rpm is only 10,500 at 182.
Not sure why u want your sled to rev at 11,000. I recently installed the ulmer stage 2 and found that u get the best pull at 10,500 - 10,800. Anything above that, it just sounds fast. I had to adjust the clutch kit a bit and now I get great pull off the line/mid and didn't loose any top end. 10,700 from take off, drops to 10,300 and then back to 10,500.

With a lot of tests with other apex, we find that they pull harder at 10600 to 10800.
But what you say is also true.
Maybe you have the 23th gear.
And the Ripsaw is very special when you want to deal with acceleratioon and top speed.
Camoplast Carve 1" is the best after many tries.
We have 6 apex in our group, 3 with 136" and 3 with 121".
4 Apex with 25th gear, me with 24th gear and 1 with 23 stock gear on a 136".
1 crazy with ZX2 AD-Boivin suspension.
Many other test to come....

Ya i have the stock gear.
Do you gain much on bottom and mid range with the 24th gear
Will the carve hook up as good as the 1.25 ripsaw? How much do you gain with the carve on top end? How many studs do you run in the carve?
