I stripped the sled down to replace doughnuts including draining the gas. It sat for a couple months during the process. Now that it's all together she won't start. Pulled plugs but they are dry. Do I dare use any gas or starter fluid before I put the plugs back in? Any other thoughts?

Changed plugs just to be sure and did try blowing while cranking with no luck. Battery starting to slow down after just a few seconds. Will have to wait again until charged better.

Can I use any gas or starting fluid? I know much isn't a good idea with four strokes.

My opinion is its better to use some starting fluid than it is to keep cranking putting wear on starter and draining battery down. Spray it and if it doesnt fire right away look for some other issue.

Find an old spray bottle and then put gas in, you can also dump in a LITTLE 2 stroke oil also. use that instead of starting fluid, which can be very tough on even 4 stroke engines.

You will have to keep spraying down the carbs until the fuel pumps draw fuel up. They aren't good at drawing a vacuum, they are meant for pushing fuel instead.

I took cover off of air box and sprayed gas into carbs. It fired but had to do it three times to get it to run. Starts just fine now.

Thanks to all.
