Anyone who drove the new 07's. Did any one ask if they were going to make the speedos a little more accuarate, because 12-15 mph off on top end is a little rediculous.

Asked about it at the demo ride. The response I got was "since switching to the digital speedos, the discrepancy is not that bad - maybe one to two mph." Yeah, right.

Not everyone knows about the DREAMMETER in accuracy..
My buddy barry was at a bar one night.. Noticed an apex rider talking about how he had his sled doing over 120mph..
Barry preceded to tell him about the dreammeter.. and the guy got pissed at him.. told him it was dead on.. LOL
Yamaha figures if they can fool a few people they will sell more sleds

The other manufactureers don't seem to have a problem so seems Yamaha has done this intentionally.

Jim, I agree..... My buddies 04 F7 reads 1.1mph higher than his GPS. I think Yamaha could be a little closer than 12-15 off, it's redicous.

There is no dought that yamaha knows what there were doing when they came out with there digital speedo on the viper, and just put some more glitter into it for the rx1 and now apex/attak,as i asked the jap rep. last april when i demoed the 06s in maine, and i told him they were still off by about 12 mph and he looked at me and said no they are ok,i said no they are not i have gps reading to dispute there inaccurate speedos, and he got quiet than said that yammi knew they were a little off and they were ok with it,and that they had no intention of fixing it,because in there eyes there was no problem. Sorry boys i dont think we will see any real accurate speedo anytime soon from yamaha.

F7's are bang on!! When we used to radar them a couple winters ago, we wouldn't tell the driver his speed, we would make him guess first....he was always correct!! I ran 2000 feet at 112 on the F7 speedo and the gun was 111.7mph!!
Sure as poop, Yamaha has the brains to fix this!!!
